Welcome

Faith is vital in our restless society. But faith in what or perhaps better yet, in who? Is faith simply an abstract hope? A hope that this will happen or that things will improve?

The Bible gives answers to questions such as these that are relevant for us today. At Greensboro Baptist Church we study God’s Word to find His answers to help us in these days. The Bible tells us about trusting Jesus Christ and why we should put our faith in Him. We find answers that help us face the perplexities of this life. Faith in Jesus Christ gives answers both for the questions of eternity and the problems that we deal with while here on this earth.

Come and study God’s Word with us.

Verse For The Week

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD,

which made heaven and earth ... The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. Psalms 121:1-2,8

Thought For The Week

Psalm 121 is the second of the fifteen “songs of ascent” which were sung by Jewish pilgrims traveling to Jerusalem for the three great festivals each year As such, it isn’t surprising that they trust themselves to God’s protection from the dangers and difficulties of the road. Since most journeys by foot took several days, the people had confidence that while they slept along roads that could be dangerous (wild animals, highway robbers), their God didn’t sleep but was alert to their needs (v. 3). They sang of God’s around-the-clock protection: “the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night” (v. 6). This was the God they trusted in and would worship upon arriving in Jerusalem.
